Effective Trivalent Vaccine is Invented against FMD in Bangladesh

Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is highly contagious, economically devastating and transboundary importance disease among cloven-hoofed animals. Innovation of a trivalent vaccine against FMD was announced at a press conference held on 16 October 2018, organized by Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) authority at International Mother Language Institute, Dhaka. This befitting innovation was invented by Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain (Vice-Chancellor, Jashore University of Science and Technology) from Microbial Genetics and Bioinformatics Laboratory (MGBL), University of Dhaka. Education minister of People’s Republic of Bangladesh Md. Nurul Islam Nahid briefed shortly about this massive innovation, which was crying need in respect to Bangladesh. This innovation was funded by HEQEP and this press conference also organized and described by Dr. Gourango Mohonto (project director, HEQEP).Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain was thankful to Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, People’s republic of Bangladesh as well as his enthusiastic research team. Honorable scientists, journalists and researchers were also invited at this press conference and an interactive question answer session was also held at this conference.
