Participation at FEMS 2017 Congress

7th Congress of European Microbiologists was held under the Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS) 2017 started from July 9 with five days intensive conference at Valencia in Spain. The Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS) and the Spanish Society for Microbiology (SEM) have joined forces to give you the best of microbiology. Key disciplines including molecular approaches, biodiversity, bioremediation, eukaryotic microbes, virology, and others will be examined in order to advance our understanding of current and future challenges. The conference gave the chance to update knowledge with the state of the art on antimicrobial resistance and infections, food microbiology, sustainability, climate change and many more topics. From Microbial Genetics and Bioinformatics Laboratory of Department of Microbiology under the supervision of Professor Dr. M. Anwar Hossain and co-supervision of Dr. Munawar Sultana, enthusiastic researcher and lecturer of the same department, Samina Momtaz presented the poster titled as “VALIDATION OF A SYBR GREEN REAL TIME PCR ASSAY FOR RAPID ENUMERATION OF SALMONELLA SPP. ”.
